Kids Natural Hair Summer Camp
Welcome to the Salon Suite Kids Natural Hair Summer Camp, where the world of hairstyling comes alive! Join us for an unforgettable experience filled with learning, creativity, and a whole lot of fun. Our camp is designed for kids aged 9-12 who are eager to discover the secrets of hairstyling and develop their own unique flair.
Throughout our camp, campers will have the opportunity to dive deep into various hairstyling techniques and skills. Our experienced instructors will guide them through a curriculum tailored to their age group, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Our campers will delve into the world of hair extensions, understanding how to apply them using sew-in and glue-in techniques. They will learn the importance of scalp care, discovering tips and tricks for maintaining healthy and beautiful hair. Our instructors will also teach proper shampooing, conditioning, and natural twisting styles to unlock their creativity.
To ensure that each camper has all the tools they need, a full kit will be provided. This kit will include hairstyling tools, products, and accessories, allowing campers to practice and perfect their skills both during the camp and at home.
Outline:
Week 1: Basics of Hairstyling
- Introduction to hairstyling tools and products
- Understanding hair types and textures
- Proper shampooing and conditioning techniques
- Haircare and maintenance tips
Week 2: Braiding Bonanza
- Exploring different braid styles (French, Dutch, fishtail, etc.)
- Practicing basic braiding techniques
- Creating intricate braid patterns
- Incorporating accessories and beads into braids
Week 3: Weaving Wonders
- Introduction to hair weaving and extensions
- Learning the art of sew-in and glue-in techniques
- Experimenting with different hair colors and textures
- Creating stunning weave hairstyles
Week 4: Mastering Cornrows
- Understanding cornrowing techniques
- Designing creative cornrow patterns
- Incorporating cornrows into various hairstyles
- Embellishing cornrows with beads and accessories
Week 5: Locks and Twists
- Introduction to locking techniques
- Creating natural and synthetic dreadlocks
- Exploring different types of twists (two-strand, flat twists, etc.)
- Styling twisted hair into chic updos and ponytails
Week 6: Showcasing Skills and Graduation
- Campers prepare their own hairstyles
- Camp-wide hairstyling competition
- Graduation ceremony and certificates of completion
